Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301dw Printer

Hi all,

I've just been around the bots and others and no support options seem to take me to a person so I can get some clarity

We have just purchased an MFP 4301 dw Printer

We have setup network printing and others, this is all working

The scan to email works - if going from the 1 sheet glass

the copy function works in the document feeder

 

IF YOU SCAN TO EMAIL FROM THE DOCUMENT FEEDER NOTHING HAPPENS

The printer sits there, and the only details are processing job.

If you try to cancel it wont end up cancelling the job 

This will require a restart to allow scanning functions 

 

I have been through the list below and everytihing passes

  1. Firmware Bug: There might be a firmware bug affecting the scanning functionality. - checked - latest
  2. Network Connectivity: The printer must be connected to an active network. - checked - working
  3. SMTP Server Settings: Incorrect SMTP server settings could prevent emails from being sent. - checked - working
  4. Document Feeder Issues: There might be a physical issue with the document feeder. - checked - working
  5. Configuration: Incomplete or improper configuration of the Scan to Email feature. - checked - working on glass

Any help would be appreciated

Please provide the actual version number of installed firmware. If you used the auto update function that unfortunately does not mean you have the current firmware in my experience.
