My scan to email function quit working. It says my username or password or invalid but they have not changed. I've gone through the usual resets and even reinstalled all software. I've tried **bleep** and yahoo but no luck. Any ideas?

Copied from a different thread. It worked for me - I had to go into the printer settings (my printer requires it be from a webpage connected to the printer). In generating an app password, the dropdown didn't have anything for a printer so I created an "app" called printer (or something) and generated the password. Then I went back into my printer settings and instead of using the email address password I used the app password and my scan to email is now working

Which email service do you use? may you use G-mail? which had a security change this month and no longer allow less secure apps access.
Please follow below steps to set up Google access assuming I'm correct, else please clarify what email provider you're using.
First, open the following link and login to the same account as you set for the printer.
https://myaccount.google.com/security
Within the Signing in to Google section, be sure to turn on "2-Step Verification":
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
Next, create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en
Once completing the changes update the outgoing email profile password to use the App Specific Password and then click Save and Test to ensure the problem has been resolved.

If your used a g.mail address as the scanner email address, Google changed their security settings which prevent us from being able to scan to email. I also tried setting up a Y.ahoo address but that didn't work either. I'm having the same issues (different type of printer).
