I just installed this printer and I am not having any luck setting it up to scan to emails. I had and 8610 and I was able to scan an item directly to emails I had programed in my printer. Does this printer not have those options?

Yes, the Officejet Pro 9018 supports Scan to Email
The requirements are the same:
You must have an installed email account on the computer (Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail) to which you have connected a viable (usable) email address
You must not set Two-Step Verification with the email used with Scan to Email or you must use the App Password feature. For example, gmail supports the App Password setup.
If the printer is on the network:
Scan to Email, both the initial setup and the Profile creation / editing can be done using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Initial setup is likely similar to the example.
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
tab Scan > Scan to Email
