I too am stuck. I have an OfficeJet PRO 9020, and am using Outlook as my email provider. I did check and notice that the SMTP server has now changed. However, nothing I do will get me back working again. I have tried:

1. Checking for Firmware update --> Currently on MANHHIPP1N002.2428A.00

2. Using an app password --> I am using Modern Authentication 2FA, so I know I must use an app password. Generated and tried. No luck

3. Removing and adding back the Email address and account from both Scan to Email setup, as well as Email alerts. Nothing works.

4. Turning on and off SMTP authentication, TLS, Validating Cert,  Always use secure connection. Nothing worked.

It seems like HP has forgotten about updating my firmware with OAuth 2.0 and I am left hanging.  What can I do next?

I have the same issue since the modification by Microsoft on September 16, 2024. Even if I have the latest update on my HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e, I was not able to figure out how to make it work. I have been on this for weeks now trying all I could thing of and spending hours on trying to find information on various websites and else.

It is not possible to specify the authentification OAuth2.0 in the OfficeJet settings so I guess this needs to be fixed ASAP. If this is not the issue, HP needs to find a solution for its product to minimally offer one of the services its product was procured for.

Please be diligent and act promptly to resolve this issue.

Hello,

I opened a case (Case #5132623564) with HP support, and they have acknowledged the issue. I inquired about when a firmware update would include the fix. Unfortunately, HP support was unable to confirm if or when this update would be available for users.

Cheers,

Christian

Thank you, @novae744 Christian.  Can you keep us posted on an ETA for the fix, please?

Also, if there's a way for others to add to the case, that would be great.
