Hi. I recently installed the latest firmware update (20190401) to my Laserjet Pro 200 color MFP M276n, after which I cannot Scan to Network Folder. I get a error message" Scanning was unsuccessful. Try again." Destination folder is shared for everyone, it all worked just fine before firmware upgrade. When I open up the printer web page and go to the scan tab and click on the test button by the scan folder, I getsimilar error "The test was unsuccessful. Try again."
I tryed everything, reset all the setings of printer, network configuration but it seems that it is problem with the firmware.
Is there any way to downgrade to another firmware, on my printer there is an option Firmware downgrade and you can select Yes or No.

I have found on some units with newer firmware, especially for home use where you may not have a true domain server, you may need to enter the user name for the authentication credentials as computername\username where computername=the name of the computer you are scanning to and user name is a user that has login rights to that computer. As well in the credentials section you should be inputting the computer name as the domain name.
Upgraded security is often the reason that previously working scans stop after an upgrade and in some cases needed to maintain compatibility with upgrades to operating systems.

It is true I dont have domain server, but proposed solution does not work.
I try many combinations of settings and paths to the scan folder but nothing seames to work.
I also found out that when I set the 75dpi scan on the printer and start the scan from the printer display it scans the document and then shows the same error. When I set any other dpi value it first tries to connect to PC and then shows the error, doesnt start the scanning at all. I cant remember that the printer use to do this before, but I can be wrong because most of my daily scans are 150 and 300dpi, color pdf or color jpg.
Desperately searching for the solution, stupid firmware upgrades.

Actually the problem is likely because this printer only supports SMB V1.0 http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05547920
Due to security failures of SMB V1.0 Microsoft started disabling it as default on Windows 10 and that might be the case for Windows 8.1 as well. You can re-enable but keep in mind there is some security risk of hacking in doing this.
To enable SMB V1.0 on your PC, go to control panel>programs and features>windows features and find the option for SMB V1.0 and CIFS.

When we run into this situation our next step is a factory restore and start over.
