The steps you list to save ast txt or rtf simply don't exist in the current Windows app.

7.) Click Send, and then select Folder. This works

8.) Click the Format menu, and then find RTF or TXT. <======= in the save as, the only format option is pdf

 

I also selected this model for this feature. Please help me find it.

 

I downloaded the app from Windows store today. My firmware is up to date on the printer/scanner

I am runnging Windows 10

I understand you'd want to scan as a searchable PDF format. To assist you better, I would like to know the following-

 

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc. 

What is the Operating System installed on your computer?

Are you using the HP Smart App to scan?
