Using VB.net to access WIA for scanning on an Office Jet Pro 8710. Scanning from glass works great, but when selecting document feeder (adf) from  the WIA interface, only one page gets  scanned. Using HP software it works fine.

Hello @Jcolsanti ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Press key combo "Windows Key + S" enter "service" > click on Service App

> change the Startup type to Automatic for the following services

    • Shell Hardware Detection = ShellHWDetection
    • Print Spooler = Spooler
    • Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) = stisvc

reboot and try again.

All are set to auto and running. Like I said, scanning from glass works, scanning from adf doesn't. It works fine using the HP software. Looking for resolution in VB.Net
