Scanjet Pro 3500 f1
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hey Guys

Hoping the board can help me out

Just got a HP ScanJet Pro 3500 f1

The desktop software works fine however I can't seem to scan anything from the hardware alone

For example, I load the documents in the feeder and scroll down to everyday scan (down arrow_ and press the top button  with a page (scan simplex) and instad of scanning, the computer shows a popup

scan from hardware doesn't work.. gives this popup.JPG

I did have an epson printer so kind of get what that is about and installed paperport and readiris which came with this scanner but not really sure why I am getting this popup at all.

Same message with the bottom button.

Would appreciate any help getting this to work

I am using the most current driver---

THanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I would suspect any driver conflict with your previous Epson.

I suggest removing the Epson software from the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program, then remove the HP scanner software too and reinstall it.

As well from the Control Panel select Devices and Printers,

Right click the scanner icon and select Scanner Properties.

Within the Events tab ensure it is set to alway laucnh a specific program with the HP software selected.
