My. OS Sequoia 15.0.1 the  printer is working but the acanner shows an errror -21345.  How can I workout this problème.  Please help, I need to scanne documents. Thank you in advance for your input.

The error code -21345 on your HP printer/scanner can indicate an issue with the scanner's software or connectivity. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Check Connections

  • USB Connection: If you're using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • Network Connection: If you're connected wirelessly, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.

2. Restart Devices

  • Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart Your Mac: Restart your Mac to refresh the system.

3. Update Software and Drivers

  • Check for Updates: Go to the HP support website and ensure you have the latest drivers and software for your printer model.
  • HP Smart App: If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store. This app can help manage scanning and may resolve issues.

4. Reset Printing System (Mac Only)

  1. Open System Settings: Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Right-Click in Printers List: Right-click (or Control-click) in the list of printers.
  3. Select "Reset Printing System": This will remove all printers and reset the printing system. You'll need to add your printer again afterward.

5. Check Scanner Settings

  • Open the HP Smart app or the built-in Preview app, and select the scanner. Ensure the settings are configured correctly for scanning.

6. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • If available, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP support site. This tool can help diagnose and fix common printing and scanning issues.
