Setting up the Scan to Email feature on HP Enterprise MFPs involves configuring the email settings using the Embedded Web Server. Here are the steps to guide you through the process:
 

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
 

  • Identify the printer's IP address from the control panel by touching the Information icon and then Ethernet.
     
  • Open a web browser on a computer or device connected to the same network as the printer.
     
  • Enter the printer's IP address or URL in the browser's address bar.
     
  • If a warning message about website safety appears, choose to continue to the website as it is safe.

Log in to the Embedded Web Server:
 

  • Click Sign In in the EWS.
     
  • Use the Administrator credentials to sign in.

Configure Network Settings:
 

  • Select the Networking tab.
  • From the left column, select TCP IP Settings.
  • Go to the Network Identification tab.
  • Ensure that the DNS suffix is listed if required by the network. If not listed, enter it and click Add.
  • Click Apply to save the changes.

Configure the Scan to Email Feature:
 

  • Go to the Scan Digital Send tab.
  • Select Email and Scan to Network Folder Quick Setup Wizards from the left column.
  • Choose Email Setup.
  • Under Configure Email Server, choose how you want to configure the email server and click Next.
  • Enter the necessary information in the From, Subject, and Message fields and click Next.
  • Adjust any file scan settings as needed and click Next.
  • Review the summary of settings and select Finish.
