I am having problems getting these two scanners (HP ScanJet G4050 and G3010) to work under Windows 10 Pro version 1809 64bit. HP no longers offers driver support for the ScanJet under Windows 10, so this version of Windows won't even recognize them. The buttons and HP software won't work at all. All I need is to have them work using the Microsoft Scan App or Microsoft Digital Image 10. Can anyone help, or are these units junk?

Hi,
The HP Scanjet G3010 is not supported on Windows 10 and no driver is available as listed below:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04635838
The HP Scanjet G4050 is supported and you may install below drivers to use the scanner on Windows 10:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL53034/dp-127944-4/setup_full_G4050_140_222.exe
For the Scanjet G3010 scanner you may try using Vuescan as a workaround and see if that works, this is a 3rd party app, supporting your scanner:
