Hey there! @Vince5, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand that scanner does not scan the whole document.

I have checked the specification of your printer the Maximum scan size from glass is: 216 x 297 mm (8.5 x 11.7 inches)

Please try to Reset the printer.

Resetting the printer can force some types of scanners to calibrate which might fix the problem.
Remove any items from the scanner glass and automatic document feeder (ADF), then close the scanner lid.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into a wall outlet.
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
Load the original document or photo, then try to scan.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot scan quality issues.

Also, refer the product specifications page of the printer for more information.

I'll watch your reply!

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂

That step did not fix the issue.

At this point, It would more feasible to replace the machine. At any case, I thank you for all your time and effort.
