I have had this printer/scanner for a couple of years and it has been scanning fine.  Today, all of a sudden it gives me the following error message:   "No Computer Found"

Wireless connection:  I have reset it several times.  I have also turned both the printer and the laptop off several times.  Laptop is an ASUS Q551L Notebook PC.

The instructions on the printer say:  "To scan to a computer, make sure the feature is enabled.  Open HP Printer software, select Scanner Actions, and then select Manage Scan to Computer."

I have looked repeatedly for HP Scanner Software.  The only thing I can find is the Device.setup.exe which didn't offer any Scanner Management options.  I also installed HP Smart hoping that would help, but it also doesn't offer Scanner Management options that apply to my problem.  It looks like it only has options that apply only to the actual document you're scanning.  Nothing about setting up my scanner or turning it on.

I have wasted 2 hours on this.  Please help!

Out of desperation I finally downloaded the HP Scan Doctor.  Had previously been a little  afraid to do it because I didn't know how to prove that it was a legitimate program from HP.   I've  had too many experiences accidentally downloading viruses.  Turned out that I had to reload the Printer software and go through the whole set up process.  Wasn't difficult.  Scanner works like a charm now.  Just don't know why I all of a sudden had to reload it in the first place, after having used it for years.

Anyway, thanks for your help!
