I have an HP C5230 scanner, copier, printer. It has worked fine, but all of a sudden, it no longer can read any type of memory card. Unfortunately, you have to scan to a memory card, so now the scanner does not work. Anyone have any ideas? It is like the memory card ports are dead.

Hi @niklasmama,
Here are the directions for doing a scan from the printer to a computer that I found in the HP Photosmart C5200 User Guide.

If scanning from the printer to the computer is not functioning properly there could be an issue with the printer software and drivers.
What operating system is your computer running?

Hi @niklasmama,
Thanks for getting back to me with that information.
I am not sure why the printer would not be reading any type of memory card. I would try performing a Power Reset on the printer.

There are other options for scanning other that just scanning to a memory card. Do you use the printer with a computer? If you do, what operating system is the computer running?
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Well, it seemed to work, but then it didn't.
Also, when I press the Scan Menu, it gives 2 options:
Scan and Print
Scan to memory card.
I would prefer to just scan to a folder on my PC.
I may try to reload the drivers. This is a new PC, within 5 months, and maybe the drivers are not up to date.
