Hi @gyach818,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP All-in-One 9018e is not scanning in Windows 11. HP recommends these steps:

1. Restart everything:

  • Turn off the printer and computer.

  • If using Wi‑Fi, restart the router.

  • Turn the printer back on and make sure the computer and printer are on the same network.

  • Check that the printer wireless light is solid blue if using Wi‑Fi.

2. Reset the printer:

  • Turn off the printer.

  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and power source.

  • Wait 60 seconds.

  • Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet and turn it back on.

3. Check printer status in the HP app:

4. Run Diagnose & Fix:

  • In the HP app, select your printer.

  • Click Diagnose and Fix.

  • Click Start and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Re-add the printer in the HP app:

  • Remove the printer from the HP app.

  • Reopen the app.

  • Click Add Printer and set it up again.

6. For USB connection:

  • Make sure the USB cable is connected directly to the PC.

  • In Windows, remove the printer from Devices and Printers.

  • Close HP apps, reconnect the USB cable, and add the printer again in Printers & scanners.

7. Update scanning software/drivers:

  • Download and run HP Easy Start from 123.hp.com/setup.

  • Install the full feature drivers.

  • Then try scanning with HP Scan or the HP app.

8. If you get a Scanner Failure message:

This usually points to a scanner hardware or power issue, not a network/USB issue.

  • Reset the printer again.

  • Lift the scanner lid slightly and try a copy job to see whether the scanner bar lights up and moves.

  • If the scanner bar does not move or illuminate.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
