Scanner missing searchable pdf selection. Cannot save searchable pdf's. What can I do? searchable pdf disabled.

If you choose to NOT use HP Smart Advance (in HP Smart) for any reason,

You always have to option to obtain, find, purchase OCR / searchable file software of your choice.

The same choice holds true if the feature is not available to your printer for any reason -

At this writing, scanning and then saving a document as "Searchable / editable" is a feature primarily reserved for HP+ eligible printers that have accepted and enabled HP+ service.
