macOS 11.0 Big Sur

My scanner worked perfectly until about 3 weeks ago. I believe that it is something with Adobe no longer supporting the set-up for this. I cannot download the extension as my computer runs on a Swiss App Store account and cannot find the suggested app to make it work again.

 

Can someone tell me, if the scanner will work, if I buy a C2G USB Printer Cable, USB 2.0 A to B Lead connection and connect the printer via US withe Apple or will the scanner still not work via a cable connection ? 

 

If someone could please provide the technical advice on the above. Is that the correct cable type which will fit into the HP Envy 5530 plug at the back ? If not, please advise which cable it would be that I can connect to my laptop via a USB connection.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting connectivity issues.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
