Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I scanned 114 documents. Then scanner was saving them so I could save them to my memory device that is together with my Windows 10. I do this all the time but this time the " saving " feature kept going and going for about 1.5 hours but never finished. No other feature on the dialogue box would respond. I turned off the scanner and then I cancel the saving feature, but the dialogue box did not respond to any command. I decided to turn off the computer to re-start to see if that would have any effect but when it came back, the dialogue box to the printer/scanner was clear. Is there any way to access the memory to the scanner to retrieve those documents on the scanner. I had already destroyed the documents and I have no way to replace them. Is there a memory on my device that I can access, please?

Welcome to the HP Community --

That's a hard lesson.

Unfortunately, unsaved documents are lost.

The job was actually lost when it failed to save in a reasonable amount of time (several seconds).

What?

There is not an "in progress save" --

That means, the job does not stop and save parts "scanned to this point" while you are scanning more and more pages.

The job is not saved until you stop scanning and click to save the content.

Depending on the size of the printer memory, the amount of data your network can handle - scanning is resource intensive, other current and active processes on the computer, and the size of each document, a typical job might be one to several pages.

According to the datasheet, this printer's onboard Memory size is 128 MB (generally adequate but not a lot).
