Scanner stopped working. Turned printer on and off, ran Printer scan Dr, that didn't work, pulled power cord, checked wireless network, turned off router then back on. Never had this much trouble getting scanner to work. Out of ideas.

If you have not done so, please remove the existing printer software > reboot > install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software.
Assuming the printer is functional, connected, and that the Diagnostics printout shows no errors, then consider / try one of the Scanning Options mentioned below.
Printer
HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer - A910g
Full Feature Software:
File name: OJ8500_A910_1315-1.exe
Release details
Released: Aug 17, 2014
Version 28.8
Help, suggestions, and examples:
Install Full Feature Software – Printer
Operating System recently migrated to Windows 10 and / or to re-install the printer software:
- If using a USB cable to connect the printer and computer, disconnect the cable
- Create a Restore Point >
Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit)
- This works best if the computer's Windows (10) Updates are current - check if you are unsure
- Update your HP Drivers (or other vendor computer) - printer software likes updated Drivers
- Open Printer Website Driver Support Page >
- Download a fresh copy of the Full Feature software >
- Remove existing Printer Software from Programs and Features / Apps and Features / All Apps / Devices and Printers >
- Shut down the computer > boot, and log in >
- Install Full Feature Software (find in your Downloads folder > Double-Click on the file) >
- Restart the computer and log in to finish the installation

Thanks so much. Got to the "Install the CD" and couldn't find it. So went to MS support and reloaded the updated drivers. That put a new hp icon on my desktop to operate the printer options and the scanner started working. Really appreciate all the help.
