I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the app, unplugging the printer for 30sec, while it was on and turning on with lid on.
Also rebooted my Mac.
Does anyone have another idea?

@tinawachter, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15. I suggest using HP Smart app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC.
To know how to scan from Apple Image Capture, refer to this document.

HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15. I suggest using HP Smart app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC.
