When I start HP Smart and select Scan, it asks me to log into my HP account. When I attempt to do so, it spins and spins and eventually gives me one of the below errors: Any advice?

Hi @JTreu,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are getting an error message UA_400_EB000U0217 on your HP SMART App. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Please follow the below steps:
Clear app data:
- Press the Windows logo key + R to launch the “Run” App. In the Run app, type %temp% and hit enter. This will open the temporary files folder in the AppData app.
- Now, press “Ctrl + A” on your computer to select all the temporary files. Press “Delete” to delete all the temporary files in the folder.
- Uninstall & Re-install the HP Smart App.
You may also go ahead and Download HP Scan and Capture an alternate scanning application developed for the Windows Operating system.
You may use this reference document: Using the HP Scan and Capture App
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
