Hi, I recently bought the above printer, abd despite it saying 'automatic document feeder' on the box, when I try scan a document, it only scans on the flatbed/glass but wont auto feed the document in. This is highly frustrating as I sometimes have large documents to scan and to manually place each page on the glasstop is extremely time consuming. Please advise how to get the ADF to work.
Thank you.
PS. I've installed the latest drivers. (Full feature software and Drivers)

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
1. Was your Scan user interface similar to what was shown in the video?
2. Did you select the source to be "USe document feeder when loaded"?
3. Did you hear a "ding" sound when you put the document into the document feeder?
Do let us know.
Thanks.

- because the feeder seemed not to work. It always seemed to use the glass instead. I finally figured out that when the document is placed to firmly into the feeder it will not work. When i pull the documents slightly back

Have you installed the FULL feature software?
If you have not, the following resource will help you :
HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows

Once you have installed the FULL feature software, the following relvant resource will show you how to scan using teh ADF.

I was also having difficulties. The Scanner had originally been working and then stopped. I tried all the suggested trouble-shooting. I was about to take printer back when I realized that the document-feeder still worked for faxing. I re-investigated the scanner and saw that it was a very simple fix! On the HP Smart Scan Screen under "Source", "Scanner Glass" was selected. I changed it to "Document Feeder" and it worked immediately.
