After wasting two long hours, including downloading programs (.exe files) and updated HP printer drivers) my brand new OfficeJet Pro 9018 would not feed documents from the feeder.
All previous HP printers dating back ~25 years all had document feeders that worked straight out of the carton.
I stumbled on the correct solution via a Google search that included HP Smart and found this page.
Why was this simple, critical step not part of the initial set-up out of the carton?
If it was I sure missed it. And then finding this simple setting was less-than-simple to locate.
Google found it but HP was of no help till I found that one page.
