Product: HP Photosmart 6815

I am trying to scan a double sided document into one PDF using a HP photosmart 6815 printer/scanner.  I do not have an HP scan program.  I can access the scanner on my MAC computer but it only scans single pages.  My usual method is scanning using the scanner and have it emailed directly to me for single sided pages.  When I want to do double sided I have to make a copy of one side of the double sided document and then scan the 2 pages needed.  I am trying to avoid this process as it wastes time and ink.  Is there a way for me to scan a double sided document without having to download any additional programs?

What are the exact model name and product numbers? I was not able to locate any HP printer named as HP Photosmart 6815
