I recently purchased the HP Smart Tank 7301 all-in-one. I specifically checked the scanning ability of this machine before purchasing. The specs said it will scan up to 1200 dpi. As far as I can tell, it only scans up to 300 dpi, as seen in the drop down choices in the scanning software. I really need the higher resolutions for the design work I do. Can someone tell me how to scan at 600 dpi and up on this machine?

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community. The HP FULL software would allow higher resolution scanning.
Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
This example will show how to get o higher resolution (watch from 2:15 onwards)
