I have found that copying produces output that is not nearly as good as when I scan and then print the scanned file. I am using an HP Color Laserjet MFP M281fdw. This is puzzling because I would think that copying would involve scanning and then printing and that the default settings should produce the same results. I am unable to correlate the various settings involved the three individual processes to get simply copying to produce comparable results. For example, when scanning and printing, I am able to choose between three dpi settings, with 300 dpi being the highest. There is no similar selection when copying.
