Scanning both sides of documents on OfficeJet Pro 8600 no longer given as an option

He I downloded http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi   but I am not seeing the 2 sided option. How does it work?

I believe we can use HP Easy Scan application to scan both sides of the page using Automatic Document Feeder. Here is how to do it:

1.) Download and install HP Easy Scan from here. Open HP Easy Scan.

2.) Click Presets and select Edit Settings.

3.) Click Source and select Document Feeder. Check the box Scan both sides of pages.

4.) Click Done.

5.) Click Scan.

Hi, I think the HP Officejet 8600 cannot scan two side of paper, Only the 8600 PLUS and PREMIUM Version of the 8600.

Which is your printer?
