Hi @lmrenault1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When you use the HP Smart App to scan a document with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025, the scanned image is typically saved to a location on your smartphone. To locate the scanned image on your Google Pixel smartphone, you can follow these steps.
- Open the HP Smart App: Make sure you have the HP Smart App installed on your Google Pixel smartphone. If you don't have it installed, download and install it from the Google Play Store.
- Scan the Document: Use the HP Smart App to initiate the scanning process. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan your document.
- Save or Export the Scanned Document: After scanning, the app usually prompts you to save or export the scanned document. You may be able to choose the destination where you want to save it.
- Check the Storage Location: Typically, scanned documents are saved in the "Documents" or "Scans" folder on your smartphone. However, the exact location may vary depending on your device's settings and the app's configuration.
- Use a File Manager: If you can't find the scanned document in the default location, you can use a file manager app on your Google Pixel smartphone to search for it. Open the file manager app and look for a "Documents" or "Scans" folder. The scanned image should be in there.
- Search for the Filename: If you remember the name you gave the scanned document or the date it was scanned, you can use your phone's search functionality to locate it quickly.
- Check the HP Smart App Settings: If you still can't find the scanned document, open the HP Smart App and check its settings. There may be an option to specify the default folder or directory where scanned documents are saved. Adjusting this setting can help you locate future scans more easily.
By following these steps, you should be able to locate the scanned document on your Google Pixel smartphone.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you very much for sending your detailed solution for using the HP Smart app. Before receiving your reply I was able to reach HP telephone support and the tech was able to walk me through a solution using my Chromebook without the HP Smart app. Although it took a while on the phone to get to the solution, now all I have to do is press the scan button on my HP printer and the scanned image pops up on my Chromebook advanced settings under "Print & Scan : Scan.
