I am scanning documents on the screen (not the feeder).  I have always been able to edit those documents to separate the items I need to put in different areas.  All of a sudden this afternoon, I can no longer edit the scan.  What happened?

I guess edit was the wrong word.  I used to be able to reduce the size of each item on the screen so I could file them away individually but there is nothing anymore.  There used to be a box in the upper right corner of the scan which said "edit, delete, and one other option which I don't remember what it said.   That's the kind of editing I'm looking for - just to independently educe the margins of the scan to envelop each individual item on the scan.

Here is what HP says about scanning options:

  1. Click Scan. Once scanning is complete you will be taken to the Preview window.
  2. On the scan Preview window, change the file name or type, adds pages, or click the menu icon on the upper right corner of the scan to Edit, Replace, or Delete your scans. In the Edit menu, you can adjust or enhance your file by cropping, changing color, or adding filters and text.

#2 is unavailable - there is no longer any "Edit, Replace, or Delete"
