MFP M477
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased a MFP M477 color laser MFP.  I connected it to my PC via USB.  I found how to scan from my PC using HP Scan and how to scan from the printer using a shared network drive.  Is there no way to scan to the computer from the touch screen on the printer?  I was hoping that I could tap scan > PC and have it go directly to my computer from the printer.  Otherwise I need to connect it to my network as well, setup a share, and use that option if I want to scan directly from the printer.

Hi,

Laserjet printers do not support Scan to Computer, meaning you may only initializae a scan from the computer for a USB connection.

You may indeed use the Scan to Network folder option indeed by connecting the printer to your network and setup a shared folder. to scan directly from the front panel
