When I scan a document from my PC it produces it on screen (and prints) as if reduced in size. Can you help? Thank you.

Hi @Darren19,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the reduced scan size issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check and Adjust Scan Settings:
Open HP Smart App:
- Launch the HP Smart app on your computer. You can download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
Select Scan:
- Follow the prompts to select the scan function.
Adjust Scan Resolution:
- Ensure that the scan resolution is set correctly. Higher resolutions will result in better quality scans and may eliminate sizing issues.
Check Scaling Options:
- Look for any scaling or resizing options in the scan settings. Ensure that the scaling is set to 100% or "Actual Size".
Preview and Confirm Settings:
- Use the preview feature in the HP Smart app to ensure the scan appears correctly before saving or printing it.
Use HP Scan Utility:
Access HP Scan Utility:
- Launch the HP Scan Utility program on your computer.
Configure Scan Settings:
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e printer and configure the scan settings correctly. Ensure you select a suitable resolution and that no scaling is applied.
Preview:
- Preview the scan to make sure it appears as expected.
Update Printer Software:
Update the HP Smart App:
- Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app and any printer firmware updates to avoid software-related issues.
Windows Update:
- Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is updated to the latest version.
I hope this helps.
