I have had this printer for several years and to say the HP Smart app is frustrating is putting it mildly.  Today I received an error that I have never gotten before.  I have a Chromebook and opened HP Smart to scan a document.  Something I have successfully done hundreds of times before.  Today I get an error that scanning is not supported.  What the heck?  I uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  I unplugged and turned the printer off and on.  I checked my Wifi.  And still the same error.  I am able to print.  I am totally mystified and quite frustrated with this printer and before I throw it in the garbage, I wanted to see if someone has ever come across this issue and has a resolution.  Thank you.
