Product: HP Office Jet Pro 7740

I have the hp office jet pro 7740 this is the second one I have purchased the document feeder broke on the first one and instead of inquiring I went out and bought another one now this one is not scanning properly. It goes through the feeder ok but the papers being scanned are being cut off and put on several different pages when I look at the pdf. It is almost ad if it’s scanning a half page at a time. I can’t afford to keep buying printers. Is there a way to fix this or some form of warranty or something
