hi,
the printer/scanner i am using is a HP envy6120e series.
I am wanting to scan multiple documents and am having issues.
I can no longer scan using the display screen on the device, I can only scan instructing from my computer but cannot seem to find how to scan multiple docs.
i have a pullout tray at the front of the printer but unable to feed the scanner from here only the flatbed glass.
hope you can help.
thanks

Hi @Alexandra40,
Thank you for the response.
Try these steps:
Using the HP Smart App: The HP Smart App provides a user-friendly interface to manage scanning tasks:
- Download and Install: Make sure you have the HP Smart App installed on your computer. It can be downloaded from the HP website.
- Open HP Smart App: Launch the app and select the scanning option.
- Flatbed Scanning: Place each document on the flatbed scanner.
- Add Pages: After scanning each document, select the option to add another page within the app to compile multiple pages into one document.
- Save or Share: Once all pages are scanned, save them as a single PDF file, or choose another format.
Manual Scanning through Software:
- Initiate a Scan: Open the scanning software on your computer that is linked with the printer.
- Scan One Page at a Time: Position the document on the flatbed and scan each page individually.
- Combine Pages: Use your scanning software's feature to compile multiple scanned pages into one document.
Configuration for Scanning Multiple Pages:
- Scan Settings: Ensure your scanning software has settings to compile multiple pages into a single file.
- File Format: Select the appropriate file format for your scanned documents, such as PDF, which is ideal for multi-page documents.
Since your printer does not have an ADF for feeding multiple pages automatically, scanning must be done manually per page using the flatbed. If you're having issues with using the printer's display screen for scanning, ensure that your printer firmware is up-to-date, and try resetting the printer.
I hope this helps.
