When I was using Windows XP with my HP 3055 I could scan multiple pages as one document. Since I have upgraded to Windows 7 Pro, when I scan, each page is scanned as a new document. Also, I no longer have the option to scan the document as a pdf. The pdf problem is not that important, but it is very important to be able to scan multiple pages as one document. How can I make my HP scan all pages as one document?
Thank you.

Hi @flyrod40 ,
I see that you would like to be able to scan multiple pages to one file. I would be happy to help you.
What printer do you have? Deskjet 3050 or the Laserjet 3050.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
If you are using the HP Scan Software, open the software, select the link for Advanced Settings, then click on the File tab and put a check mark in Create a separate file for each scanned page. This will allow you to scan multiple pages to one file.
Here are the screen shots.
Hope this helps.
Have a nice day!
Thank You.

My all in one is the HP Laser Jet 3055. Since I installed Windows 7 Pro I have not been able to install the HP software that came with the 3055. The software keeps telling me I need to be logged on as an Administrator even though I am logged on as Administrator. That is probably why each page is scanned as a separate document, although it would seem like the feature should work through the Windows scanning software. Also, the Windows software does not let me scan the document as a pdf which the HP software permitted. I would sure like these features back!
Thank you in advance for your help,
George

Hi flyrod40,
Thanks for letting me know which model of printer you have. I actually do Consumer Support and your printer is a Commercial printer. I will try and provide some information for you to try. If you are still having issues, I would post on the Commercial Support Forum. Click on New Post. Printers - LaserJet.
Make sure the Administrative rights are set properly.
Touch the Windows key + R key.
Type in CMD, then right click on CMD from the list and select run as administrator - opens command prompt window.
Type: net user administrator /active:yes.
You should see a message saying "the command completed successfully".
Log off and into the Admin account.
Try installing the full software again.
After troubleshooting is done, you can disable this account by typing the following command into Command Prompt (as administrator): net user administrator /active:no. Restart the computer.
Hope this helps.
Thank You.

Scanning issues…
Please try this scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
For Windows: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Make searchable PDF scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/
