Scanning multiple pages on the Envy 4500

How do I scan multiple pages into one document on the HP Envy 4500 using windows 8.1?

Hi,

From the HP Envy 4500 software click on Scan a document or Photo.

Select either IF or PDF, ensure the Show Preview option is checked and the resolution is 300 DPI or lower.

Use the plus icon within the scan preview dialog, click on Save once you are done scanning any of your pages.

How do I access the HP Envy 4500 Software? When I click on the printer icon it only brings up print options, not scan options.

Are you using HP Scan?  Make sure you are at 300 dpi and make sure Separate file for each scanned page is unchecked.

I recently discovered how to scan multiple pages in my HP4500 Envy. I always use the the control bottons whenever I use the device for scanning and printing which to my suprise I did not know I can use the HP printer icon short cut in my desktop! So by using this icon shorcut I was able to launch the scanning option/preview and by just clicking on the plus(+) at the bottom of the preview I was able to scan as many page as I want. I almost fell in buying those program that can merge PDF files I'm glad  I did'nt. Hope this help

Open the HP Printer Assistant, go to "Scan." After scanning the first page, you should see a document with a plus sign on the left lower corner. Click that to add a page.
