Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

 

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

 

If you have multiple pages, then you can put the documents in the ADF of the printer and ensure you get the message " Original Loaded " on the printer screen

 

Then on your Mac 

- Go to Applications.

- Open Image Capture.

- Click on your Scanners name.

- Click "show details"...To adjust your settings and be sure to "Scan to" Preview. For Scan Mode change it to document feeder and click the box to "combine into a single document" in order to scan multiple pages.
