Hi,
I saw this in HP Community but this applies to Windows: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Scanning-doesn-t-use-the-document-feeder/td....
When I go to "Printers & Scanners" under "System Preferences" the same option to enable the document feeder is not available for my detected HP printer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi @one_s_g,
I'd like to help!
I understand you would like to scan using a document feeder.
The user interface is different for windows and mac and some settings are enabled by default.
Scan with a document- feeder.
- Place the pages in the scanner's document feeder.
- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners . ...
- Select your scanner in the list on the left, then click Open Scanner on the right. ...
- Select Use Document Feeder.
- Set scanning options. ...
- Click Scan.
You can also scan from the feeder using HP Easy Start.
Install HP Easy Start from here
1. Start the Scan software
2. Select Save as document type
3. Under "Page Sides", select "2-sided (book)
4. Make sure Source is "Document Feeder if loaded"
Example as shown:
Then start Scan!
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
