Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Officejet Pro 8028

Automatic document feeder (ADF) works fine with copy function, but does not work with scanning.  Can only scan from flatbed!

Very frustrating as the other solution is to scan from the HP App which also works with document feeder.

HP printers have long been my favorite, but these flaws will have me shopping for other brands!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-series/242... 
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

When scanning using the HP Scan from the FULL solution software, please ensure the Source is selected as "Use Document Feeder if loaded"
