Scanning with HP 8014e

I have just purchased a HP Officejet 8014e, and are very disappointed with the Scanning features in  "HP Smart".
My old AIO printer , the HP Officejet 6500A plus, used "HP Scan", witch in my opinion was a better scanning program.
I am using my printer, very much for scanning, and with "HP Smart", this is simply taking way longer than before. In "Hp Scan" you where able to select several separate features on a single scan, and save as separate pictures. 
Short and sweet, my question is. Is there any way of getting the 8014e to work with the old "HP scan", or possible any 3'th party software that will do as good as the old Hp original software.
Your help is much appreciated.

Please try HP Scan Extended using the following software

             ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:

   (a) Hit Win key,
   (b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
   (c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

You can put a shortcut on Taskbar or Desktop

I was unable to download from the FTP, "when I press your link, I am being asked to choose a program to open the ftp-link which I did not know".
But I found a Http link, of where to download. Program now installed, and PC rebooted.
I can start the program, but when trying to scan, I get the message "an error occurred while scanning".
Everything looks otherwise Ok, program identifies the hardware "HP92550D (HP Officejet 8010 series)"
And I am able to scan using HP Smart, and ScanSpeeder, so nothing wrong with the hardware or connection.
Anyone that can you assist further, I am desperate ?
