Hi @Hoffie1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is scanning successfully but you're unsure how to save the scan as a PDF, you'll need to use the HP app or HP Scan software on your computer or mobile device. The printer captures the scan, while the software lets you choose the file format and save location.

Save a Scan as a PDF:

  1. Load your document into the front Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) or place it on the scanner glass.

  2. Open the HP app (or HP Scan software). HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

  3. Select Scan, then choose the correct source (Document Feeder or Scanner Glass).

  4. Start the scan.

  5. If scanning multiple pages, select Add Page to include additional sheets.

  6. Choose PDF as the file type, enter a file name, select the save location, and click Save.

This will create a single PDF file containing your scanned document.

I hope this helps. Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
