Hi there,
I have installed the software and drive for my HP Officejet 4620 printer/fax/scan/copy. Everything works apart from the scanner, why is the scanner in particular not working?
Please can you give advise on procedure as to what and how I'm going to have the scanner facility be functional?

Hi,
Thanks for using the forum.
You'll need to install the full feature HP software to scan.
Here's the link for your convenience, do select the appropriate operating system that you're using and the FULL feature software for download:
What Operating system are you using?

Hi,
I'm so pleased to have joined the HP forum otherwise I could have wasted my time trying to download a quite different HP software application series and be miserable. This specific software actually does not appear in the options given, otherwise this would have been a simple thing to do without having to get help. So I'd like to thank you for giving me the direct link to enable me to download my scanner software for my MacBook Pro.

I have been using my printer for 2 yrs. it's been great.
Recently I bought a new Mac Book Pro and at the time changed my password also. I can use the printer from my computer but when I go to scan and send through Email it says, "Username or password is incorrect. Make sure both user account and password are valid" Then I hit OK but is does not give me a place to put an updated PW for my email address.
Is that what it is looking for? My email PW for my office? I'm just trying to use my scanner, everything else is good.
Also, I am doing this all wireless.

I use OS X. My HP Officejet Pro 8610 suddenly will not send scanned documents back to my computer. It will print and executes the scan, but doesn't send it back. I turned off router, then printer, then computer -turned them back on in suggested order. This didn't solve the problem. The printer is set to the same wireless network as my computer.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
The following resource will help you :
http://123.hp.com/us/en/
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
