Welcome to the HP User Community.
When I scan using the "Document Feed", there is a black line about 2/3 of the printed page.
Could be dirt / tiny spec of "something".
If the dirt is on the outside..
Use a flashlight (torch in the UK); shine the light at an angle along the glass.
Clean, clean, clean the glass panel(s)
Use a tiny brush to sweep all along the edges of the glass.
