Scans from the document feeder scan crooked, a few degrees clockwise. The paper seems to pass through evenly, but the resulting scans aren't straight, but tilted slightly to the right. Is there anything I can do to fix this? The printer's our of warranty, if that matters.

Hi @btreloar

Is the paper also straight in the ADF?

Too bad!
- check, is the original straight?
- if the scanner lamp is not installed properly, then the scans will be skewed accordingly. It is a pity that only now this is noticed.
- with HP Scan you can correct such scans.
But attention: set "dpi to 150" and enable "straighten contents"
Otherwise there is no possibility!
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Yes, the paper seems to feed perfectly straight. The crooked scanning has been an issue for quite awhile, though I'm not sure it's been this way since the printer was new. I presume from what you said that there's no way for me to adjust the positioning of the scanner lamp, is that right?
If not, I'll try out your suggestion on "straighten contents" ... but Idon't find that option in HP Scan. Can you be a little more explicit??
Thanks!
Bill

Hi Bill,

Yes, only through a paid service.
Here is this option
If the option is grayed out, set the Input Format to "Detect Content on Page".
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
