Scans sideways

Similar to the question above from the guy who asked about his printing coming out sideways.   That was an easy fix...somehow he had switched his print layout from portrait to landscape.  My scans come out sideways and I do not see an option to change from one layout to another.   This is not really all the big of a deal, but when I scan one or more pages, save the file myself or send it to someone, I (or they) have to take the time to reconfigure the layout to their screen so they can read it properly.  Any suggestions as to how to change the scan layout so that it appears in portrait mode?

Check your Page Orientation setting.

Thanks for the reply. Where is that function for scanning? I know where it is for printing, but I don't see it for scanning.

HP Scan/More/Scan/Page orientation click the + sign to expand.

Scanning issues…  You are using HP Scan right???

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options.

Thanks, that did it!  I was NOT using HP Scan before, but I am now!  It seems to me there should be some reference to this during the installation process as this sure does make things nice & a whole lot easier.
