Hi @Aiiagoa,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble scanning with your HP DeskJet 4303 printer, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Connections: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi, depending on your setup.

Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printer installed. You can download them from the HP Support website.

Restart Devices: Turn off your printer and computer, then turn them back on. This can resolve temporary issues.

Use HP Smart App: If you haven’t already, download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store or HP's website. This app can help manage scanning and printing tasks more effectively.

Check Printer Status: Ensure that your printer is online and not in a sleep or error state. Check the printer's display for any error messages.

Scan from HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app and try scanning from there. Select your printer, then choose the scan option.

Windows Fax and Scan: You can also try using the built-in Windows Fax and Scan tool:

  • Search for "Windows Fax and Scan" in the Start menu.
  • Select "New Scan" and choose your printer from the list.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block the scanning function. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.

Reinstall HP Software: If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP software and drivers for your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
