Hi @reco55,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage All-In-One Printer may be experiencing both a resolution issue and potential security concerns. Here are some steps to help resolve these issues.
Reboot the Printer:
- Power Cycle:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Turn the printer back on.
Factory Reset the Printer:
This will restore your printer to its default settings. The process might vary slightly depending on your model, but generally:
- Access the Control Panel:
- Navigate to the printer's control panel or screen.
- Find the Reset Option:
- Look for settings related to “Setup,” “Tools,” or “Maintenance.”
- Find and select “Restore Factory Defaults” or a similar option.
- Confirm the Reset:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the reset.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date, as updates can fix bugs and security vulnerabilities. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware if needed.
Check Network Security:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is secure. Change your Wi-Fi password to prevent unauthorized access.
- You might want to check the network settings on your printer and reconfigure them.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
