I scan photos a lot. I previously had HP Deskjet 2542 Print-Scan-Copy. Easy to scan and edit. The scan/print steps were much easier, I needed a driver I can't find. My new HP Envy 6055 (series 6000) takes FOREVER. I don't know the category-can't find it anywhere. It does use the same cartridges. I'm thinking of returning it. Am I missing something?

I followed instructions to remove all printer related software, noting that the only thing I had to remove was the printer from Devices and Printers window. (?) I had connected the wireless WiFi and downloaded the HP Smart app previously and things seemed to be OK, but slow. Rereading your reply, it appeared that I had not completely installed the printer, which I then did. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.
