Send fax from PC

HP Solution center is installed on customer's computer. Customer has setup fax to PC feature, he is receiving faxes on computer.

However, if customer has a document on computer which he would like to send it as fax, Is it possible?

Please advise.

I see that you are wondering if it is possible to send a fax from the PC with your HP Officejet 8620, on Windows 7. And, I am happy to help! 

Yes, you can send a fax from the PC. Here is how: 

1. Ensure the HP drivers and software are installed.
2. Ensure a phone line is attached to the “1-Line” port on the printer.
3. Open the document you wish to send using any application.
4. Choose the option to print, usually located under “File” > “Print” or   > “Print“.
5. Switch the printer to the “Fax – HP Officejet Pro 8620” option.
6. Select “Print” or “OK“.
7. Enter the phone number you wish to send the document to, then select “Send Fax“.

Hi, until recently, I was able to send faxes using the PC/HP Printer Assistant.  Since yesterday, I am only able to use the printer manually to send faxes.  When I try to use the PC I get the message it's in processing or printer is busy.  I've checked the connections, turned off the printer to reset, restarted the computer, reset the speed dial, and ran a printer fax test for which confirmed connection is available.  Can someone advise?
