Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just set up my printer, and the Fax set up wizard has no where to enter the correct time.  Now I am trying to correct the time using the control panel on the printer, but it is populating the time field with what was already in the system, then will not let me change it.  Does anyone know how to set the correct time using the control panel, or if there is another way to do it?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M277 Printer. I understand that you want to setup fax time and date on control panel and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

1. From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.

2. Touch the Fax Setup menu.

3. Touch the Basic Setup menu.

4. Scroll to and touch the Time/Date button.

5. Select the 12-hour clock or 24-hour clock.

6. Use the keypad to enter the current time, and then touch the OK button. NOTE: Touch the 123 button to open a keypad that contains special characters, if needed.

7. Select the date format.

8. Use the keypad to enter the current date, and then touch the OK button.

9. Touch the Fax Header menu. ENWW Set up to send and receive faxes 71

10. Use the keypad to enter the fax number, and then touch the OK button. NOTE: The maximum number of characters for the fax number is 20.

11. Use the keypad to enter the company name or header, and then touch the OK button.

Click here and refer page 71 in the user guide for more steps.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

Thank you.  I was actually following those steps, but it seems that I was not "touching" hard enough!  I was a little more forceful this time, and the new time took.
